We celebrated two important birthdays this week. Those of you who know Ron, know his love for our country, so it seems fitting for him to be born so close to the birth of our country. We love and appreciate him so much. He has proudly served in the Marine Corps 20 years, serving in both desert shield/storm, and operation Iraqi Freedom! It was a low key birthday, as requested. He did get his long awaited Buffalo Jerky! Made his day! We are grateful for friends that came to celebrate with us! Friday we spent the day attending flag raising ceremonies, watching Wall-E, and attending the famous "Meneghini Backyard Bash". Ian is not the easiest child to take to things like that, he was a bit over stimulated with fireworks and people, so a few hair pulling and hitting experiences occurred. But I wouldn't trade Ian's sweet spirit for ANYTHING! The Lord blessed me with a child that has such inner love! He is being protected for something big! We are pooped from the parties, but LOVE the friendships we shared. What a great husband I have, and we appreciate the freedoms we enjoy living in this wonderful country. What a way to celebrate both!
