I am Grateful for...

I feel blessed and renewed after listening to our General Authorities this past weekend at conference. I will have to confess, I have complained in recent months about all the things that "drive me nuts", all the things I don't have in my life .. Such marvelous addresses from our leaders got me to thinking, reviewing my life, and all that I am truly blessed with...

I am Grateful for a wonderful, kind, loving and generous husband, who doesn't mind working and who works hard to provide all the wonderful necessities of life, and some not so essentials as well, so that I am able so stay at home with our two children. Who is a wonderful father and puts his families needs above his own! Who plants our vegetable garden each year and makes our yard the best on the block! Who sacrifices for our family and our country and protects each daily!

I am Grateful for my sweet children, and the opportunity I have to be their mother. I firmly believe each was handpicked by my Grandma Wanda. Ian has taught me unconditional love and compassion, as well as just being alright with who you are! He smiles daily and is just a happy boy. He teaches me to enjoy the simple things. I know he was sent to teach me things NO ONE else could! Eva loves big!! She is becoming my fun companion, and is so excited about learning and growing. She has quite the imagination and I love to listen to her stories. She is always my conscience in keeping me on the straight and narrow. She surprises me daily with her observations about life!! They both bring such love and joy into our home!

I am Grateful for a warm house to protect me from the rain!! For the rain which makes this beautiful state so green. For my fun dog who loves my kids!! For Family that only lives 3 hours away, who we are able to visit often and enjoy much! For being born of goodly parents who planted the seed of faith, who sacrifice, who listen, and who love! For five brothers and sisters I consider my bestest friends. For nieces and nephews who allowed me to mother them, before I had children of my own, and who now love and play with my children! For ancestors who sacrificed so that I can enjoy their legacy of faith...for cars that run, for my health, for all great friends and ward members who listen, and don't judge, and assist me in raising my children in righteousness!!

I could go on......and on..., but just these simple observations have made my life sweeter! Life is good, and I am VERY BLESSED!
